Forcados

Havneby ved Forcados River i nuværende Delta State i Nigeria, 150 km. sydvest for Onitcha.
TILBAGE
Port in Delta State, Nigeria, on the Forcados River, 150 km/93 mi southwest of Onitsha. Originally associated with river-borne trade, particularly timber, Forcados declined with the growth of modern facilities at Lagos and Port Harcourt until the rise of petroleum production in the state in the late 1960s. Since then, connection with the oil fields by the Trans-Forcados Pipeline, deepening of the harbour, and the building of the offshore Forcados terminal have led to an increase in trade.
